Will hydrocortisone valerate cream help heel the burns on my face from using proactive?

hun i am a doc so listen...NO hydrocortison will not cure burns it will just minimise the scar.so if u need my advice if the burns r well heald.then u have to use hidroid or heparinoid jell twice daily and avoid sun exposur as possible....so avoid steroids an take vit A in addition.u welcome|||I%26#039;m not sure that hydrocortisone will heal the burns, but you can always try aloe cream. It is usually very soothing and it keeps the burns hydrated so it makes it easier to heal. Make sure to keep it clean too.

Also, if the hydrocortisone cream does not work, make sure proactive pays for a good treatment.

Is it okay to use hydrocortisone cream if you're taking klonopin?

There is no interaction between the two that I am aware of.

Why cant hydrocortisone cream be used on pregnant women?

me and my wife are expecting our first baby ...my wife has this unstoppable itchyness feeling in some parts of body, we went to her physician and had recommeded this cream , which iam not really sure if it is oke to apply for my wife.. any doctor here.. thanks..|||I am not a Dr, but used to have eczema and used this cream, reason for not using it could be that it has a steroid base, ask a midwife to recommend another cream

Can you use Hydrocortisone Cream while pregnant?

I am 7 weeks pregnant and have this heat rash. I used the cream last night but then I began to wonder if it is safe for pregnancy|||I used it with last pregnancy and also with current pregnancy. using too much of any topical cream may be harmful, so follow the directions. Stop worrying about the little things!! Your gonna be fine.|||Well, there are a lot of folks (including myself) that would be loath to use hydrocortisone as it is a steroid cream. However, as it%26#039;s a large cholesterol molecule it can not travel very far and stays at the site of application, so it would not affect your pregnancy. Locally you would be more susceptible to an infection (at the site of application), which would be exacerbated by the compromised immune system due to pregnancy. So ask your doc next week (when you should have your first appointment) and think about the potential consequences - like a local infection.|||I asked my GP, and he said it%26#039;s okay as long as you have a break after 3 days of using it.

I asked my obstetrician and he said he rather%26#039;d I used a stronger one for a week and then stopped.

He said generally hydrocortisone creams don%26#039;t harm the baby during pregnancy. But to not excessively use it.|||yeah, i got prescribed 2% of the stuff in this pregnancy, for spots that have appeared in and won%26#039;t go away, it%26#039;s just an inflammatory medication.

don%26#039;t use it for long periods of time, i think it says only a few days at a time because it can damage you.|||I would suggest sweet almond oil as an alternative. I had the same problem during pregnancy and after giving birth. I did try one application of hydro-cortisone, but it did not work. The sweet almond oil started working almost instantly both during and after.|||Always ask your doctor first! Only s/he knows the other medical conditions you have, your history, and whether or not your baby is likely to be affected.|||Definitely ask your Doc about it!

Can you treat thrush with hydrocortisone cream?

i think i have it and until i go to the shops i want to somehow help it.

can i also take Canesten Duo while im on the pill?|||Isn%26#039;t the Canesten Duo used to treat thrush? Why would you need to use the hydrocortisone cream as well as the Canesten Duo? Using the hydrocortisone cream wouldn%26#039;t help, as it will stop the itching but will do nothing to stop the infection caused by the fungus/yeast.

You need to ask your doctor about Canesten Duo, if it is your first time using the product. Generally, most products, except for antibiotics do not affect birth control, but you never know.|||yes you can take canesten duo on the pill,i wouldn%26#039;t use anything but proper treatment for thrush just in case! but natural yogurt will do the trick if you have some at hand

Does Hydrocortisone cream really expire after the expiraration date?

Yes. Never used expired Over-The-Counter or prescription medications.

For anyone who works as a vet tech please help is hydrocortisone 1% cream safe for a 7 month old puppy?

she has raised red bumps on her tummy it%26#039;s like a rash. is it safe to use. thank you.|||It won%26#039;t hurt her, but the bumps could be a staph infection, so get it checked out at her vet soon. If she gets recurrent skin infections, she could have a food allergy (among other things).

Added: Actually, staph infections often have a collarette of dead skin around each lesion. Regardless of the appearance of the rash, especially without seeing the animal, it is impossible to say what caused it. If it clears up and does not recur, no worries. However, if it does not go away, or recurs, get it checked out.|||as long as you keep her from licking her tummy, and the will be hard to do.

You should bring her to the vet first to find out if it really is a rash.|||Its not safe as she can lick it off, not good.

Make an appt. with the vet in the morning to find out what is causing the bumps. It could be many things, and trying to treat it at home can make it worse, and make it harder to diagnose and treat when you finally go to the vet.
