Has anyone ever used hydrocortisone cream on the eyelid?

Is that okay to use by the eye area? I%26#039;m really nervous to use it. It was prescribed by my dermatologist, but I heard that kind of cream is not good for the eye area by my primary care doctor.

and is it true if you accidentally get it in your eye you can go lose your eyesight?|||You should not have asked this question when your dermatologist has prescribed it, he is the master knowing much much more than we know. Hydrocortisone is also prescribed in Ophthalmic practice.|||I am not certain, but my doctor always told me not to, that hydrocortisone cream is not for ophthalmic use. That would include the eyelid. There must be a reason.
