my doctor gave me this cream and told me to put because im on accutane what does this cream really do? stop the itching or get rid of the redness? is it bad to put it on everyday|||Both it will stop the itching and get red of the redness. Do not use it more frequently than your Dr. suggests. Hydrocortisone is an anti-inflammatory drug that decreases redness, swelling and itching.|||It is a mild steroid cream %26amp; will stop itching %26amp; redness. You should not use for more than the time your Dr tells you or the directions on the tube say b/c it can dry out your skin %26amp; make things worse.
