her itching is severe and we were wondering if the Hydrocortisone could be used with zinc oxide to calm irritation. Help much appreciated...|||Irritants such as soap, should be avoided.
Topical calamine lotion and/or oral antihistamines such as loratidine 10mg once a day... available over the counter (am not saying brand names) can help with itching.
In severe cases oral steroids may be used.
UV therapy and exposure to sunlight may help in some cases.
